Saturday marked the 'first' day of the Houston Rodeo 2009. They make a huge deal out of it in downtown with a parade and a 5K/10K race. We were all going to 'compete' in it, but found out that strollers were not allowed. Julia and I were bummed. So Dave and Mike competed and did great!! Dave did the 10K and did really well. Maggie and I were so proud!!!
Kate and Maggie were cheering on their daddies in the race. Dave's gonna love that I got a shot of some 'Texas' running shorts in the background. He was counting them while he ran, I think he got up to 29 of those shorts. I'm sure there were more as this race had 10,000 participants!

Right after we took this shot, Dave's knees crumbled and had to ride in Maggie's stroller to the car.

The official final count was actually 30 pair of Texas shorts. That's about 30 too many, if you ask me!

Good job Dave! There's no way I could run even 1 mile, haha! Maggie's the cutest in her stroller always wearing her hat and sunglasses. :)
gooo dave. marc and i are supposed to run the half Cowtown marathon next year with my sister in law....we'll see
I would die in a half marathon. I was seeing spots and couldn't feel my fingers in just the 10k!
